I am Broc Derrick Montgomery—a descendant of civil rights giants, a former fraud-buster like my father (Senior VP of Internal Audit at CNA Insurance), and a survivor of one of the most brazen RICO enterprises operating in plain sight within the DuPage County Civil Court system. This is not hyperbole. This is a documented, 17-year campaign of organized crime orchestrated by Republican politicians, judges, attorneys, and white supremacist allies to steal over $4 million in marital assets, hide my minor children for five consecutive years, and attempt my murder through fraudulent police calls—all while gaslighting, harassing, and alienating me from my kids.
This blog post is my war cry. I will break down the RICO violations with precision, name the players, and demand the federal intervention that will dismantle this criminal syndicate.
What is RICO? A Quick Primer on Racketeering
The Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), enacted in 1970, was designed to combat organized crime syndicates like the Mafia. It allows prosecutors to charge entire criminal enterprises, not just individual acts.
To prove a civil or criminal RICO violation, four elements must be met:
- An Enterprise – A group of individuals or entities working together (formal or informal).
- Pattern of Racketeering Activity – At least two predicate acts within 10 years from a list of 35 crimes (e.g., bribery, mail/wire fraud, money laundering, extortion, obstruction of justice).
- Continuity – The crimes are ongoing or threaten to continue.
- Injury to Business or Property – Tangible harm (in my case: $4+ million stolen, children alienated, reputation destroyed).
DuPage County’s actions check every box.
The Enterprise: Dan Cronin’s “Larceny-Laundering Crew”
At the center sits Dan Cronin, former State’s Attorney, Senator, and current DuPage County Board President. His inner circle includes:
- Brian & John McGuire – Republican operatives who mocked me as “Barack Obama” during my 2008–2014 elected tenure.
- Jackie Tufo Hovde & Mike Hovde – Bloomingdale Township Supervisor and his attorney wife, who coached my ex-wife to make 150+ fraudulent 911 calls to provoke my execution as a Black man.
- Judge John Demling – Laundered $4 million+ of my marital assets in 2015–2016; resigned abruptly after 2018 social media exposure.
- Judge Ann Therieau-Hayes – Continues the cover-up, ignoring exonerating evidence.
- Brian Nigohosian – Former prosecutor turned my ex-wife’s attorney, directing courtroom fraud.
This is not a loose alliance. It is a coordinated criminal enterprise with Cronin as the shot-caller.
The Predicate Acts: A Pattern of RICO Crimes

These are not isolated incidents. They form a 17-year pattern starting in 2008 when I blocked their Bartlett Fire Protection District money-laundering scheme.
The Continuity: This Machine Never Stops
- 2008–2014: Targeted as an elected official for exposing fraud.
- 2015: Divorce weaponized with discriminatory due process denial.
- 2015–2016: $4M+ laundered by Judge Demling.
- 2018: Demling exposed; forced resignation covered up.
- 2020: Judge Therieau-Hayes continues fraud in September hearings.
- 2020–2025: Ongoing child alienation, fraudulent arrests, asset concealment.
This is open-ended continuity—the enterprise threatens future harm unless stopped.
The Injury: My Life, My Children, My Fortune—Stolen
- Financial: $4+ million in marital assets laundered.
- Parental: Five years without my children; forced into “joint custody” on paper, sabotaged in practice.
- Physical: Attempted murders via:
- 150+ fraudulent 911 calls.
- Food poisoning (hospitalized, no findings).
- Suffocation while asleep.
- Vehicle tampering (ex-mother-in-law).
- 2012 assault (uninvestigated by Bartlett PD).
- Reputational: Labeled a “domestic abuser” despite ex-wife being the proven liar and abuser.
The Modern Klan: White Supremacy in Robes
The original KKK was founded in 1865 in a Tennessee attorney’s office. DuPage County is its 21st-century evolution—using courtrooms instead of hoods.
- Judges violate Federal Color of Law statutes with impunity.
- Black officials like me are mocked, targeted, and silenced.
- Marginalized taxpayers’ assets are plundered for personal gain.
This is institutionalized slavery-era tactics: take what you want, silence dissent, hide behind “legal” maneuvers.
My Demand: Federal RICO Prosecution
I call on the U.S. Department of Justice, FBI, and Illinois Attorney General to:
- Open a federal RICO investigation into Dan Cronin and his enterprise.
- Seize all financial records of my ex-wife, Demling, and Cronin-linked entities.
- Restore my children and clear my name.
- Prosecute every predicate act under 18 U.S.C. §§ 1961–1968.
My Vow: I Will Not Break
I ran for Illinois State Representative in 2008. My ex-wife conspired with this group to sabotage it. Now, I rise stronger.
I will:
- Lobby Congress for anti-corruption laws.
- Run for U.S. Congress or Senate to draft legislation ending rogue judicial racketeering.
- Expose every dollar laundered, every lie told, every child stolen.
They hide behind gavels. I fight with truth, heritage, and iron will.
